After working on the MERCs Soviet table and Precision Models buildings I got inspired enough to finally finish assembling my British army for Secrets of the Third Reich. Any other Weird War II gamers in the Memphis area?
The beauty of SOtTR is that you can play it just as easily weird or not weird. It has rules for all the AFVs in the war in addition to off table artillery and custom design for WWWII vehicle rules (Walkers, robots, etc). Its company level, usually about 20-30 figs for those that might already have 28mm WWII armies that are interested in the rules. Its very similar to traditional historical games in that a rifleman is a rifleman is a rifleman, it's his training level and motivation that dictate his quality, and weapons are typically handled by class and not by model. Great game overall for non-weird gaming. West Wind does the model line and its fully compatible with their standard Berlin or Bust 28mm WWII, but I also have a ton of Bolt Action figs in my force (especially Red Devils!).
Just curious if there are any Weird War gamers out there, I'd love to have an excuse to push past the prime and base coat stage with these guys.
